Objective: To remind us about the danger of committing adultery.


Note:Marriage is the union of a matured male and female and should be treated as a serious commitment. Failure to comply to God’s instructions or if entered hastily (unadvised), can lead to much pain and grief. He requires us to remain committed to be saved.


1. What does the seventh commandment forbid? Exodus 20: 14


2. Herod was reprimanded by John the Baptist. State the reason for this action? Mark 6: 17 – 18


3. How did Jesus sensitize mankind about divorce and remarriage? Matthew 5: 32 & Mark 10: 11 - 12


4. How did Paul convey this matter? Romans 7: 2 – 3; and what sound advice does he give to the married? 1 Corinthians 7: 10 – 11, 27 & 39


Note: The evidence presented above clearly indicates that divorce and remarriage is not sanctioned by God. Anyone who seeks to pursue such lifestyle plunges themselves into a life that leads to eternal damnation.
