Objective: To embrace the freedom that Christ gives.


1. Why is a change necessary in man’s nature? Romans 8: 7 – 8


Note: To be carnal means to be fleshly or in man’s natural state.


2. What excellent advice did Hezekiah give to the people in his day and what is the result of their yielding? 2 Chronicles 30: 8 - 9


3. What reminder did Paul offer to the believers with regards to yielding? Romans 6: 13 – 16


4. Why is it extremely important that we yield to God rather than to the devil? Romans 6: 16; Matthew 6: 24. What will be the results of yielding to God? Romans 6: 11; 1 Peter 2: 24; Hebrews 9: 14 - 15


5. What is the result when people try to establish their own righteousness? Romans 10: 1 – 3


6. Do we need to fear the weight of the burden? Matthew 11: 29 & 30; 1 Peter 5: 7


7. Having found the Lord and His true righteousness, will our lives be profitable to Him in soul-winning? John. 15: 1 & 2


Note: By this we should see the necessity of complete surrender, when we come to Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour. (See Matthew 11: 28 & 29)
