Subject: The Dynamic Ministry of the Holy Spirit

Objective: To assist us in understanding the different dimensions to the Holy Spirit and how to embrace it all.

1. What empowering role did the Holy Spirit play at Jesus’ conception, baptism and resurrection? Matthew 1: 18 - 23, Luke 3: 21 & 22 and Romans 8: 11

2. What promise was made by Jesus to His followers regarding empowerment for worldwide evangelism? Acts 1: 4 – 8; how was this promise fulfilled and are His followers included today? Acts 2: 1 - 4 & 13 - 18

3. “The servant is not greater than his Lord” (John 13: 16 & 17). If Jesus and the apostles on whose foundation we are building had to be empowered, what is Jesus Himself still saying to us today? Luke 11: 5 - 13

4. Jesus alone received the full measure of the Holy Spirit while on earth, yet how do we know that the portion that we have been given is sufficient for this life? Ephesians 1: 9 - 14

5. How has He been enabling us in these last days? John 14: 26 & 16: 7 – 13; and how crucial is His help when mortal man becomes overwhelmed? Romans 8: 26 & 27

6. What are some of the ways that this same supernatural power manifested in our forefathers? 1 Kings 18: 41 - 46; 2 Kings 4: 32 - 36
