Note: The ‘Comforter’ which is ‘the Holy Ghost’ is a promise to every believer. This divine part of the Father himself is empowering. Desire earnestly, hunger and thirst constantly, seek and knock and this precious promise will be yours.


1. How do we know this promise of the Holy Ghost/Comforter was made to all believers? Luke 11: 11 - 13


2. Did this divine power dwell in the prophets of old? 2 Peter 1: 20 - 21


3. How did the Holy Ghost manifest Himself at the beginning of Jesus' ministry? Luke 3: 21 - 22; and what did He do for the new converts in Judea, Galilee and Samaria? Acts 9: 31


4. Were Gentile believers included in this promise? Acts 10: 44 - 48, 11: 1 - 18; and how essential did Peter consider the Holy Ghost in the lives of believers? Act 8: 14 - 17. Did the apostle to the Gentiles think differently? Acts 19: 1 - 6


5. How active was the Holy Ghost in the commissioning of missionaries? Acts 13: 1 - 2; in detecting and denouncing false spirits? Acts 13: 8 - 12; and in restraining or permitting those who preached? Acts 16: 6 - 10


6. What will He do for us in these last days? John 14: 26; and what is He slated to deliver us from soon? Mark 13: 11


7. What sure promise is recorded in the scripture for believers who hunger and thirst after righteousness? Matthew 5: 6
