Subject: Gateway to True Security
Scripture Reading: Psalm 91
Memory Verse: Psalm 46: 1
Objective: To remind us that God’s divine protection eliminates fear.
1. To whom is this type of security guaranteed? Psalm 91: 1 – 2 & Psalm 125: 1 – 2
2. With what level of confidence can the trusting believer speak? Psalm 91: 3 – 6
3. Is there any doubt as to what it takes to “dwell in the secret place” of the most High? Psalm 15: 1 – 5
4. Fear has been with us from creation. What brought this about? Genesis 3: 6 – 10; similarly, reassurance, mercy and forgiveness are also from the beginning, how is this so? Genesis 3: 21
5. Of what are we consistently reminded while living in these challenging times? Psalm 46: 1 – 3, 10 & 11, Psalm 56: 3, Psalm 118: 6
6. Why is it necessary that we develop and maintain this unshakeable confidence in these times and what factor will cause many to be fearful and probably ‘sell out’ their faith? Revelation 13: 14 – 18
7. What will be the destiny of the fearful? Revelation 21: 8
Note: The words “Fear not” is a popular quote repeated in the scripture. (Bible historians state the number as 365.) Consider Matthew 10: 28 & 31, Luke 12: 32, 2 Timothy 1: 7 – 9, Hebrews 13: 6 and 1 John 4: 17 – 18. These scriptures should reassure us that God will bring us comfort when we trust Him wholeheartedly. There is no mountain that we cannot climb - stay covered.
