Subject: Where Are We Now?

Scripture Reading: Matthew 24: 1 – 13

Memory Verse: Matthew 24: 3


Objective: To create an awareness of the time we are now in.


Note: Humanity is about to suffer in ways not seen or experienced since its creation. For centuries mankind have refused to follow the way to righteousness and will now pay dearly for their actions.


1. From creation, Satan has always masked God’s truth. What did Jesus say would be the first and most deadly sign of end times? Matthew 24: 4 – 5, Mark 13: 5 – 6 & Luke 21: 8


2. What was said about escalating wars? Matthew 24: 6 – 7, Mark 13: 7 & 8 (First part), Luke 21: 9 – 10 & Revelation 6: 3 - 4


Note: History records that between fifty to eighty million died in both World War 1 and 2. With the advancement of technology, the potential exists to wipe mankind from the face of the earth without battleship and troops.


3. After war comes famine, disease and pestilence. What does the scripture say? Matthew 24: 7, Mark 13: 8, Luke 21: 11 (Second part of Matthew, Mark and Luke) & Revelation 6: 5 – 6


4. Following carefully, what is the next phase? Matthew 24: 8, Mark 13: 8 (Last part)


5. From Revelation 6: 8, what portion of the earth’s population will die from these plagues, pandemics and other catastrophic events occurring at this point in time?


6. At what critical junction is the church presently? Matthew 24: 9, Mark 13: 9, Luke 21: 12


7. What then is the word to the church? 1 Corinthians 15: 34, Romans 13: 11 – 14 & Ephesians 5: 14 – 21
