Humble, family-oriented, principled, generous are words that would describe Deacon Johnson. Born and raised in the parish of St James, Jamaica, Deacon John Johnson grew up in a humble home with 9 siblings and his mother. Being one of the eldest males in the home after his father passed, he then learned the value of hard work and family support. He joined the Mount Zion 7th Day Church of God as a young adult in the Elderslie assembly but later relocated to the United states. During this time, he got married and rejoined the church when he was baptized in the West Palm Beach, FL location on March 23, 2002 accompanied by his wife Sister Vennise Johnson and six children. He remains a father to many other than his children, a grandfather of 9 and counting and a husband of 25 years.
