Objective: To encourage believers to demonstrate faith in God at all times.
Introduction: Serving God can be done in many ways. We are encouraged to demonstrate Him in every aspect of our lives. The possibility of accomplishing this and pleasing God cannot be done without faith in Him through Jesus Christ. Let us learn some of the benefits of being faithful to God.
1. What notable characteristic won Abraham God’s favour? Romans 4: 20 - 22; and by what means did those who came after him receive a good report? Hebrews 11: 1 - 2
2. Abraham was not declared righteous by any great work. How then was it imputed unto him, and how did Paul testify of this? Romans 4: 10 - 11, 16 - 17
3. How did Abraham first demonstrate that he believed God? Genesis 12: 1 - 5; and what does the scripture record of Abraham, when he was promised a son with his wife in their old age? Romans 4: 17 - 22
