Objective: To appreciate the fact that the time of reckoning is “TODAY.”

 

  1. Throughout Scripture, what call usually follows the preaching of the gospel? Acts 2: 37 - 38. And how has backsliding Israel been offered this opportunity? Isaiah 55: 1 - 3, Revelation 3: 19 - 22


  2. Mankind, in general, knows that he or she will die a physical death. How does the Scripture speak to the fact that man does not know the date of his demise? Luke 12: 16 - 20


  3. How does James testify to the uncertainty of tomorrow? James 4: 13 - 15. And how explicit is the wiseman regarding the finality of death? Ecclesiastes 9: 5 - 6


  4. How diligent and purpose-driven are we asked to be in this time? Romans 13: 11 - 14. And what point was driven home in Matthew 25: 6 - 13?


  5. Vigilance is our “watchword” today. How are we being constantly reminded? 2 John 7 - 11, Jude 1: 4, Jude 1: 17 - 25


  6. Despite the struggles and suffering being endured, and the chaos and confusion around us, what hope keeps the believer grounded? 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18
