Christian Growth

Subject: Christian Growth

Scripture Reading: 2 Peter 3

Memory Verse: Hebrews 6: 1

Objective: To highlight the importance of Christian growth.

1.     When Jesus was asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven," what was His response? Matthew 18: 1 - 3

Note: Like children, we must remain meek and teachable. This means coming to God and facing life with humility, fully aware that we do not have all the answers. Just as children look to their parents for guidance, provision, and correction, so we must rely completely on God’s wisdom rather than our own understanding. True meekness allows us to be led, and a teachable heart keeps us open to continual growth in Him.

2.     What did Paul say about his own growth? 1 Corinthians 13: 11

3.     In whose grace and knowledge are we encouraged to grow? 2 Peter 3: 18

4.     What component is needed for growth? John 16: 7 - 13

5.     What is necessary to support this growth? Luke 6: 47 - 48, 1 Corinthians 3: 11 - 15

6.     After we establish a good foundation and we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, what else can we do? 2 Timothy 2: 15, 2 Timothy 3: 16 - 17

7.     How can we prove that we have grown? Galatians 5: 16 - 25
