Objective: To develop the focus necessary to run this race to the finish line.


1. When we signed up for this Christian warfare, were we made aware that trials are part of the package? 1 Peter 4: 12, Psalm 34: 19; And what testimony is left on record by one such zealous soldier? 2 Corinthians 11: 16 - 28


2. ⁠Sometimes prolonged suffering/disappointment cause believers to question their faith in God. If this happens, what should be the response? 2 Corinthians 13: 5


3. ⁠Following honest evaluation, what is required to keep our eyes on the prize in both positive and negative circumstances? 1 Peter 4: 12 & 13; 1 John 1: 9; Psalm 51: 1 - 3


4. ⁠Where else can we find comfort in our times of affliction? Psalm 71: 3; Hebrews 2: 16 - 18


5. ⁠Why should we persevere despite our suffering? Hebrews 12: 11 - 13; And what prayer was made for us? 1 Peter 5: 10


6. ⁠How are our present struggles described when compared to the prize awaiting the faithful? 2 Corinthians 4: 17 & 18; Romans 8: 18


7. How are we further strengthened to keep our eyes on the prize? 1 Corinthians 15: 50 - 58; Hebrews 10: 35 – 39; And how did Jude conclude his message on this subject? Jude 17 - 25
