Objective: To encourage the saints to walk always in the Spirit, not in the flesh.


1. Despite being a godly man, Asaph found himself temporarily weighed down; What were the circumstances? Psalm 73: 2 & 3


2. What realities did he observed and how far did these thoughts plunge him? Psalm 73: 4 - 14


3. When spiritual consciousness pulled Asaph back, what was the truth of the matter, and what declaration did he make? Psalm 73: 1, 15 - 28


4. The best of us have at one point or another fought this same battle and the words of this musician comforted us. With what other testimonies have we been strengthened? Luke 12: 13 - 15; 1 Timothy 6: 6 - 12; Psalm 37: 16 - 19 & 1 Corinthians 10: 13


5. While not encouraging irresponsibility, how should the child of God exercise self-control? Philippians 4: 5 - 7


6. What proof do we have that God’s children will always be provided for? Psalm 37: 23 - 26


7. How can we be confident that the challenges we face are meant to strengthen our Christian character rather than simply frustrate us?? Hebrews 12: 11 – 15
