Restoration of a Wounded Soldier

Subject: Restoration of a Wounded Soldier

Scripture Reading: Luke 10: 25 - 37

Memory Verses: Luke 10: 33 & 34

Objective: To emphasize the importance of being our brother’s keeper.

1.       From a spiritual point of view, what lesson did Christ teach in Luke 10: 25 - 37?

2.       How does James ask us to show consideration for one another? James 4: 11 & 12; And how were Job’s three friends rebuked for judging Job rather than trying to restore him when he was “wounded”? Job 42: 7 - 10

3.       The main aim of restoring a “wounded soldier” is to help the individual to feel whole again and find favour with God and man. How well does Psalm 51: 8 - 13 say this?

4.       What should be the attitude of those tasked with restoring ‘the wounded’? Galatians 6: 1 & 2, Ephesians 4: 32, Colossians 3: 12 - 15

5.       Whether the accused is guilty or innocent, what is the winning approach? Ephesians 4: 1 - 3

6.       What should be the desired result when a “wounded soldier” is restored? James 5: 19 & 20; and what does this type of love in action say? John 13: 34 & 35
