Subject: The Choice Is Yours

Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 28: 1 - 32

Memory Verses: Deuteronomy 11: 26 - 28

Objective: To remind believers of the power of choice that we have and how carefully we must use it.

1. What special promise is made to those who obey God’s words? Deuteronomy 28: 1

2. What were some of the blessings pronounced on those who have made the right choice? Deuteronomy 28: 2

3. Even though the choice is ours, what admonition does a loving Father give? Deuteronomy 30: 19

Note: God never forces anyone to obey. He firmly gives His command and tells us the consequences if we disobey. However, before He shows the bad side, He reveals the blessings for being obedient. He also encourages us to choose the good.

4. How did Christ commend Mary? And what did He say to Martha? Luke 10: 38 - 42

5. What did Elijah say to those who couldn't make up their minds? 1 Kings 18: 17 - 21

Note: To many it may seem strange or foolish to choose suffering. One thing is certain, when we choose to suffer for Christ's sake we have "little" to lose and "much" to gain.
