Objective: To probe the concept of shining one’s light.

Note: The notion of shining one’s light is not confined to acting or speaking righteously within the walls of the assembly. It involves living God’s word everywhere, at all times, and under all circumstances.

1.     What is guaranteed when believers shine their light? Matthew 5: 15 (last part). What other message is sent? John 13: 34 - 35

2.     In the land of strangers, how brightly did these men shine their light? Genesis 13: 5 - 9 (Note verse 7), Genesis 39: 3 - 9

3.     How noticeable was the light being shone by the Rechabites in the days of Jeremiah, and what comparison was made between that group and God’s own children? Jeremiah 35: 1 - 14
